We begin our adventure exploring the rustic beauty of Downeast Maine’s pristine coastline and we end our journey enjoying the Acadia National Park’s dramatic views. Together they offer a stunning journey along the Maine Coast.
Day 1 - Hiking Maine's Bold Coast and Cycling to Canada
Your leaders will collect you from your hotel in Bangor in the morning for the transfer to the quiet village of Lubec. After a picnic lunch overlooking the ocean, we hike along Maine’s Bold Coast for panoramic views of Passamaquoddy Bay and stretch our legs with a bike ride to Campobello Island, Canada, and FDR’s summer cottage. Day 2 - Wild Maine Blueberries and a True Fishing Community
Today we cycle to Cutler, one of the last pristine fishing villages found along the coast. Our ride offers miles of solitude, ocean views, abundant sea roses, and the opportunity to pick wild blueberries.

Day 3 - Exploring Machias and the Rugged Schoodic Peninsula
In the morning we cycle quiet roads through a costal landscape before lunch over looking the ocean. After lunch, we pedal around the dramatic Schoodic Peninsula and into Winter Harbor for a ferry for a ride across Frenchman Bay and into the town of Bar Harbor.

Day 4 - Kayaking Coastal Waters
We spend our morning exploring quiet coastal inlets on a guided sea kayak tour. The afternoon is yours for exploring Bar Harbor or relaxing.

Day 5 - Cycling Acadia National Parks Famous Carriage Roads
Imagine breathtaking scenery, gentle grades, and car free cycling, and you have Acadia's famous carriage roads. A gift of John D.
