Every year when I return New Zealand fulfills its promise. Whether I am the 1st person to make footprints on a pristine beach along the Abel Tasman Coast Track or standing in the shadow of Mt Cook as the Southern Alps engulf me I cannot help but feel a sense of wonder. New Zealand is as beautiful, natural, and friendly as everyone says it is.

We feature native leaders! As passionate as I am about New Zealand, no one can show you a place like a local. From their intimate knowledge of the people, culture, and environment to their charming local phrases, good leaders bring the area to life. Occasionally, we have an Australian leading one of our trips; they are like cockroaches in that part of the world as hard as you try you can never get rid of them.
Flexibility! The New Zealand Landscape is truly epic, and it can sometimes be daunting to cyclists. Our trips are designed so people of different ability levels can all enjoy the same active vacation. Those seeking a challenge will find long climbs through the Southern Alps, while those seeking a more casual trip can enjoy just the downhills and flat sections. Our days are broken up into 2 to 4 cycling segments per day with morning tea and lunch in between allowing the whole group to share the experience.
Passion! I think we all have places we dream about visiting, for me it was New Zealand. When I traded in my cubicle, wing tips, and 15 years worth of other people's agenda's to return home to Maine and to begin Summer Feet Cycling, cycling trips to New Zealand were not far away. By design we only conduct trips in two places, Maine and New Zealand. Unlike large tour companies that set their itineraries and then leave them in the hands of a couple of twenty year old kids, I am constantly exploring to ensure that I can offer my guests the best possible experience.
