5 Lighthouse E Bike Tour

Electric Bike Tour Portland

< >

What is an e-bike? It looks like a regular bike but has a quiet electric motor. You can ride it using the pedals, using a combination of the pedals and the motor,  or just using the motor.  E-bikes flatten out the hills and extend the distance you can travel. They are a fun, active, and green way to explore an area.

  • This is a great way to see the Portland area. We had lots of fun and if you’re not in great shape (like me) no worries! The electric bikes made the hills in the area do-able! (Just remember to pedal a little when you’re going up a really steep hill!). Norman and Adam were great guides, not only concerned with showing us a good time but also concerned with everyone’s safety. We had a fantastic lunch in a stunning seaside park. There were people of all different ages and ability levels. It was great to be out in the sunshine and really appreciate the areas rather than blow past them in your car. I highly recommend this great day trip. Reposted from Trip Advisor

  • We had a great time on our 5 hour tour with Adam our tour guide. Because we rented the E-Bikes, our day was easy breezy as we rode through beautiful scenic neighborhoods and parks. The fee was quite reasonable for the services provided including shuttle to and from the riding route, assistance with setting up the bikes/helmets, 5 hours with a knowledgeable tour guide, Lobster Roll lunch, and a whole lot of beautiful surroundings! • We did this tour our first full day in Portland. You can easily drive to these lighthouses yourself. But why not make it fun. My wife is not a biker and I’ve done 50 mile per day bike trips but this tour worked for both of us. She rode an ebike and loved it. It was a warm day out but the breeze while riding made it ok. The lobster roll and picnic was great. Enjoyed the trip and highly recommend for all levels of riders. Reposted from TripAdvisor

  • Just got back from a wonderful weekend in Portland. The cornerstone of the trip was the Summer Feet 5 Lighthouses Electric Bike Tour. I want to emphasize the electric part because it made the trip that much more fun and funny for our group of four. Summer Feet mixes electric and traditional bikes on the tour and we were so glad we’d opted for electric. The hills of Portland are absolutely do-able for the casual cyclist to be sure. But having the electric assist was just awesome! You can literally hit the throttle and put your legs out and let the lithium battery do the work to get you up the hills. It was a gorgeous day to boot and the guides provided the perfect mix of information and historical details on each stop.

The halfway point lobster roll picnic was absolutely perfect. We’d have gone just for that lobster roll. By the end of the day, we were using words like “awesome” and “lucky” and “tickled” and congratulated each other on picking Summer Feet and the electric bikes. Don’t hesitate at all. It was a blast!
